Nikon D4 DSLR Camera

This camera is made for action and sports. I don't want to miss an important shot of my couple
so only the best will do. It also has the fastest, most precise autofocus out of any other camera that
I've owned. Having two memory card slots allow me to backup my work in camera. Battery life is stellar and
I can shoot practically all weekend without a charging.

Nikon D800 DSLR

This camera is rarely used at a wedding but is my go-to camera for all my commercial photography
assignments. It's got medium format resolution (36mp) and doesn't break the bank. I can also use my
existing Nikkor lenses which lightens up my gear bag.

Nikon D600 DSLR

This camera was purchased as a back-up camera to my D4 but I have found myself using it a lot during
portrait sessions. It's speedy so I don't miss a moment. It's 24mp sensor means I can print bigger, crisper
prints for my clients that they are proud to hang on their wall.

Nikon 35mm f/2.0 Lens

If I could only choose to take only one lens with me then it would be the 35mm. It is great in lowlight and
on a full-frame DSLR this lens sings. It is small, sharp and fast.

Nikon 50mm f/1.4 G Lens

This is my go-to lens whenever I am doing portraits. It's wide aperture allows me to shoot in lowlight
conditions without needing a flash. It is a far better choice for me over any zoom lens, especially ones
within that price range.

Nikon 85mm f/1.8 Lens

This lens doesn't get used as much as it should but when I do I am in love. It has much more zoom than my other
prime lenses while still being amazing in lowlight. It is super sharp wide-open and is perfect for children portraits.

Nikon 70-200mm VR II Lens

This is my only zoom lens and it is a workhorse. I can, and have, shot entire weddings with just this lens and my 35mm.
VR stands for "Vibration Reduction" and it allows one to shoot at slower shutter speeds while not being affected by
camera shake. It costs a lot but is worth every penny.

Nikon SB-910 Speedlights (x3)

I have been known to use on and off camera flash... A lot! I need the best speedlights around and that is where the SB-910
comes into play. I love Nikon for their amazing Creative Lighting System (CLS). I can throw a couple of these speedlights on
light stands and have an impromptu photography studio within minutes. If you can only afford one then consider getting a 5-in-1
reflector to act as your fill light source. Way cheaper.

PocketWizard Plus III Transceiver (x3)

As awesome as Nikon's Creative Lighting System is, it isn't perfect. This is where the PocketWizards come into play. With
the PocketWizards, I can remotely trigger my flashes from much further distances. No worry about line of sight issues whatsoever.

X-Rite Colormunki & ColorChecker Passport

The ColorChecker Passport is small and portable and ensures that I always have a calibrated white balance. The Colormunki is
a monitor calibrator used when I am post-processing so I know that my colors are accurately portrayed on my monitor.
Pick one up especially if your print colors are way out of wack. Photographers do not use these tools enough!
